In recent discussions with sources it appears that the negotiations between the Ohio Machine and Ohio Wesleyan University on an extension of the lease for Selby Field is near.

This is key for the team to keep season-ticket holders involved and for the City of Delaware to keep our professional sports team.

Machine Players Keeping Busy

The season may be over but Machine players are keeping busy.

  • Co-Captain Kyle Hartzell has been named the head lacrosse coach and athletic director for Plano (Texas) West High School.
  • Steele Stanwick has been named assistant women’s lacrosse coach at John Hopkins University.
  • Machine assistant coach Tom Marino has been named head lacrosse coach at Pacer College.
  • Logan Schuss, an Ohio State graduate, also was playing for the New Westminster Salmonbellie in Canada’s Western Lacrosse Association and was recently named named the winner of the Ed Bailey Memorial Trophy as the WLA outstanding rookie of the year. Schuss topped this year’s rookie list with 29 goals and 27 assists for 56 points in 12 games.

MLL Championship: Hounds vs. Bayhawks

Charlotte Hounds will look to collect one more improbable win when it takes on defending Major League Lacrosse defending champion Chesapeake Bayhawks today at 4 p.m. in PPL Park in Philadelphia, Pa.

The Hounds advanced with a shocking 17-14 victory over previously undefeated Denver Outlaws. Bayhawks also slid in with a late goal to defeat Hamilton 13-12 and earn a birth in the championship contest.
