LEWIS CENTER, Ohio — Construction at the site of Delaware County’s first BJ’s Warehouse Club is underway in Lewis Center.
The new store will be located along the east side of U.S. 23, north of the Lewis Center Walmart, south of Orange Road. It will be immediately west of Chiller North.

Last week, BJ’s announced the 2023 opening of five stores, including the Lewis Center location. Others include Madison, Alabama; Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Johnson City, New York; and North Jacksonville, Florida
A gas station is part of the plan for the location.
BJ’s Wholesale Club has offerings that include a selection of fresh foods, produce, a full-service deli, household essentials, pet supplies, exclusive offerings, and more. The new club will also carry local and seasonal items, as well as home décor, apparel, toys, tech items, and more.
BJ’s differs from Costco and Sam’s Club by offering smaller packages of many items, as well as by accepting manufacturer’s coupons in addition to store coupons.
The club is expected to create approximately 150 jobs and hiring is expected to start soon. Those looking to learn more about becoming a BJ’s team member can visit BJs.com/careers.
Orange Township Trustees approved zoning for the development in a special meeting on April 20, 2022.
