The officials at the Little Brown Jug have learned that actor/director Emilio Estevez will be at the Delaware County Fairgrounds during Jug week to shoot portions of his new motion picture ‘Johnny Longshot.’  The full-length harness racing movie will star Estevez who will be playing the lead character, John West, who, after a career as a thoroughbred jockey, turns his sights to standardbred racing.Estevez, 50, has a long list of film credits including the Mighty Ducks, The Breakfast Club and Young Guns.  Estevez is a lifelong fan of horse racing thanks in part to his father, actor Martin Sheen.”I’ve been a racing fan my whole life. My dad used to take me to the track when I was a kid, and then I became a fan on my own.”This will be the second film shot at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. In 1996 the Harness Racing Hall of Fame and Museum used the Jug as a backdrop for a short film that was used in their facility in Goshen, New York.
