A Winter Wonderland Awaits on the Delaware Streets

Delaware’s First Friday event is sure to be one of Christmas cheer and holiday spirit in the air. Santa will be paying a very special visit to Carousel Closet on N. Sandusky Street tomorrow from 6-9pm while making addition visits Saturday afternoons from 1-3. Santa and Mrs. Claus have been waiting all year to greet children to hear their Christmas wishes and give out holiday treats.

Also, don’t forget the magical Tree lighting taking place at 7:30pm at the corner of William and Sandusky Street. Santa will do the honors of flipping the switch to light the tree, so make sure to pay a visit; it only happens once a year!

The beautiful streets of Delaware will be lined with the sounds of spirited carolers, holiday goodies, and other family activities. If you’re lucky enough to catch Santa at Button Up, he might give your child a horse drawn carriage ride around town, making for the perfect Christmas memory and a magical experience.

While you’re busy walking around the streets of Delaware, maybe take the time to do some Christmas shopping and support some of Delaware’s smaller businesses. Purchase quality clothing and accessories at Toujours, or well-priced video games from Gameplay. If you want to get even more creative, make your own bracelet or necklace to give to a friend at Keiko’s Bead Box.

Make sure to bundle up: hats, gloves, scarves, it’s going to be a chilly night! All children’s events are free of charge!
