Maple Street Biscuit Company opened the doors of its first Ohio location in January.
The Nashville-based chain operates more than 50 restaurants. It was founded in 2012 and was purchased by Cracker Barrel in 2019.
The restaurant touts biscuits and other food made from scratch at all of its locations.
Located at 1310 Polaris Parkway, this restaurant is located near the Polaris Mall, a space once occupied by MOD Pizza.
Atmosphere
Maple Street Biscuit Company is a fast-casual restaurant. You order and pay at the counter before sitting down. Printed menus are located on the left side of the counter. After ordering, you’re given a flag with an order number. When your food is ready, someone will bring it to your table.
Coffee and other beverages are self-service, with mugs available at the counter.
When we entered, we were greeted by Chris, who relocated to Columbus from Georgia to manage this store. He pointed us to the menus and gave some suggestions about what to order.

Menu
Unsurprisingly, a big part of the menu is dedicated to biscuits. There are six different biscuit sandwiches and two variations on biscuits and gravy.
The menu also includes waffles, omelets and grits.
Sides include crispy potatoes, fried green tomatoes, maple pepper bacon, maple sausage meatballs, and grits. The featured side Potatoes O’Ryan includes crispy potatoes, smoked ham, peppers & onions and cheddar cheese.

The Food
I ordered the ‘Extreme B&G,’ which is two biscuits covered in spicy sausage gravy, along with a maple sausage meatball and two eggs. The dish reminds me of the ‘Barnyard Buster’ from Tee Jaye’s, without the potatoes.
The gravy had a nice spicy kick to it. The biscuits had an excellent buttery flavor and held up well to the onslaught of the gravy. My eggs were cooked to a perfect over-medium. The maple sausage meatball had a very sweet flavor, which complemented the spicy-savory nature of the rest of the plate.

My wife ordered the ‘Iron Goat,’ which is a biscuit sandwich with a goat cheese medallion, topped with sautéed spinach. Her sandwich was served with a generous helping of spinach. She enjoyed it very much.

Conclusion
Maple Street Biscuit Company is a worthy addition to the Polaris area. It’s sure to be a popular spot for a quick breakfast, lunch or brunch. I’ll be sure to stop by again when I’m in the area again.
