DELAWARE, OhIo — City Barbeque will be opening the doors of its new Delaware location on February 6.
Before the restaurant opens, some folks were able to sign up to get a complimentary early taste.
The new location is located at 1200 Sunbury Road, in the Glennwood Commons Shopping Center. That’s near Meijer and Kohl’s.

While the restaurant opens for regular business on February 6, it will host pre-opening events on February 2 and 3. During those events, guests can get up to two complementary meals for dine-in, carryout, or drive-thru. Those free meals are only available to a limited number of people who sign up for a ticket in advance.
Here’s what you need to do to sign up:
UPDATE: All slots are now filled, according to the sign-up page. Check back to see if more dates are added.
Head to City BBQ’s Eventbrite page. Select the date and whether you will be doing dine-in/carry-out, or drive-thru. Both days are broken up into multiple time slots. Select a time slot, and how many tickets you are asking for. Note that only single tickets are available in the drive-thru, but they are good for two meals.
The restaurant will be serving a limited menu during these practice meal services. City BBQ warns that reservations are required, and that attempts to make multiple reservations will result in all reservations being cancelled.

Those with reservations will receive a reminder the day before the event. City BBQ says that the reminder may say 11 a.m. on the email subject, but the actual reservation time will be in the body of the email. Changes to the reservation need to be done through Eventbrite.
