The Delaware County District Library announced that the Liberty Branch Library will officially open for business on Monday, March 27, 2023.
A formal ribbon cutting and community open house celebration will take place at the branch on Sunday, March 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m., which will immediately be followed by the public’s first look at the building. The celebration will include guided tours of the branch, entertainment and more.
The Liberty Branch Library project was approved by voters of the Delaware County District Library on November 6, 2018. The branch is located at 7468 Steitz Road, Powell, OH 43065. It was designed by architecture firm SHP and built by construction manager at risk Marker.
The hours of the new library will match those of the Delaware and Orange branch libraries.
- Monday – Thursday 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday – Saturday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Closed Sunday
The Delaware County District Library currently has 81,300 cardholders and serves the greater population of Delaware County, including those living in Delaware City, Buckeye Valley, and Olentangy Local school districts.
