DELAWARE, Ohio — The City of Delaware will hold a job fair this Saturday, hiring for summer seasonal positions.
People as young as 15 can apply for open positions immediately. Anyone who applies will get a $5 gift cards to Starbucks and Ciao.
The job fair is happening Saturday, March 25, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at Mingo Park, 500 E. Lincoln Avenue.

- Seasonal Camp Counselor – Under the direction of the Recreation Program Superintendent and the immediate supervision of the Senior Program Coordinator, this position is responsible for assisting with the coordination and daily operation of the City’s Day-camp programs for children ages 6-12 years old. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and coordinating a specified program area for all camp participants. Must provide high quality recreational experiences for participants while maintaining positive energy. This position requires general knowledge of sports, creative arts, and outdoor activities. – 12.48 to $14.56/hour (18+)
- Seasonal Hidden Valley Golf Course Laborer – Under the immediate supervision of the Golf Course Supervisor and under the general supervision of the Parks & Natural Resources Superintendent, the Hidden Valley Golf Course (HVGC) Laborer is responsible for various activities related to the day-to-day operations and duties associated with the operations, maintenance, and safety of the Hidden Valley Golf Course. – $13.52 to $15.60/hour (18+)

Seasonal laborers may be assigned to any division within the Public Service Group as a substitute for individuals on vacation, sick leave, etc., or during heavy work load periods. – $13.52 to $15.60/hour (18+)
- Seasonal Public Utilities Laborer – Under the general supervision of the Division Supervisor and immediate supervision of the lead crew member on a particular assignment assist with water and waste water seasonal projects. Seasonal laborers may be assigned to any division within the Public Utilities Department as a substitute for individuals on vacation, sick leave, etc., or during heavy work load periods. $13.52 to $15.60/hour (18+)
- Cashier – Pool – Under the direction of the Superintendent and Manager of the area, the cashier will collect fees related to the business area and issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers – $11.44 to $12.48/hour (15+)
- Lifeguard – Under the direction of the Recreation Program Superintendent and Pool Manager, ensure the health and safety of pool patrons through promoting a positive environment, enforcing rules, performing pool rescues and administering first aid/CPR if needed. – $12.48 to $14.56/hour (15+)
