POWELL, Ohio — Powell police are investigating a number of thefts from vehicles and a car theft that happened in a downtown Powell apartment community.
It all happened the morning of March 27 at Powell Crossing, located near the railroad tracks on West Olentangy Street.
According to police reports, four cars had items from inside. All four had been left unlocked.
Stolen property included cash, Ray Ban sunglasses, spare keys, handbags, and a roll of quarters.
A woman also reported that her car was stolen. A key was inside of that vehicle, but the owner told police she believed it had a dead battery.
Police reviewed doorbell camera footage from the area and determined the incidents may have happened around 5:30 a.m.
