DELAWARE, Ohio — A woman is facing a felony assault charge, accused of spitting on deputies while being arrested at Alum Creek State Park.
According to court documents, it happened on June 17. Park police and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the park on a report of a woman screaming threats at strangers.
When police and deputies arrived, they found Crystal R. Pace, 39. Deputies described her as irate, and screaming at people. Deputies then discovered Pace had a warrant for her arrest on a charge of assault on a police officer.
While being arrested, court documents say she spit in a deputy’s face three times. While being placed in a cruiser, she’s accused of spitting on another deputy.
Prosecutors asked for a $10,000 bond at an initial appearance hearing Tuesday.
