DELAWARE, Ohio — A Delaware County couple has been indicted on food stamp fraud charges.
According to court documents, Felicia N. Kastle and Kenneth W. Kastle are facing a number of felony charges related to fraudulent use of supplemental nutrition program benefits.
Felicia Kastle is charged with complicity to illegal use of supplemental nutrition benefits, complicity to tampering with records, complicity to grand theft by deception, complicity to tampering with records, and telecommunication fraud.
Kenneth Kastle is charged with complicity to fraudulent use of supplemental nutrition benefits, complicity to tampering with records, complicity to grand theft by deception, and filing a fraudulent return.
In 2021, Felicia Kastle ran as a Republican candidate for the Olentangy Board of Education. According to her campaign website, she owns Explosive Ninjas Gym in Lewis Center, and sat on the Delaware Career Center Advisory Board. She was defeated in that election.
According to the indictment, the case involves SNAP benefits worth more than $7,500. The alleged theft went on from January 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021, according to court records.
A special prosecutor from the Ohio Attorney General’s office has been assigned to the case.
