Alum Creek Rangers schedules additional opportunities to go on a dam tour for July
Lewis Center, Ohio – More opportunities to explore Alum Creek Dam are on the horizon as additional tour dates have been scheduled for July.
The dam tours will take place on July 4, July 8, and July 22 at both 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day, offering visitors multiple chances to experience a dam tour.
Led by knowledgeable Park Rangers, the dam tours provide a unique opportunity for participants to delve into the intricate details of the dam’s construction, its rich history, and its important missions.
Whether you’re curious about what lies in your own backyard or simply eager to learn about the region’s engineering feats, this one-hour tour promises to be an informative and captivating experience.
The meeting point for the tours is at the Below Dam Recreation Area, off Lewis Center Road, where participants will gather before embarking on their exploration of the Alum Creek Dam. It is advisable to arrive early and be prepared for a moderate physical activity, as the tour involves climbing more than 100 steps.
The Alum Creek Dam tour is suitable for individuals of all ages, with a recommended minimum age of 6 years.
