Gas Prices in Central Ohio Area Remain Steady; Delaware, Ohio Offers Lower Rates
DELAWARE, Ohio – Gas prices in the Central Ohio Area have remained relatively stable in recent days, according to data from AAA. The current average prices for regular unleaded, mid-grade, premium, and diesel fuels in the area are $3.458, $3.889, $4.297, and $3.855 per gallon, respectively.
However, here in Delaware, seems that lower gas prices are being reported. According to GasBuddy, local gas prices in Delaware range from $3.19 to $3.56 per gallon. This provides an alternative for motorists seeking more affordable options.
Comparing the current average prices in the Central Ohio Area to those from yesterday, there has been a slight decrease across all fuel types. Yesterday’s average prices stood at $3.467 for regular unleaded, $3.901 for mid-grade, $4.302 for premium, and $3.866 for diesel.
Looking back to a week ago, the average gas prices in the Central Ohio Area were slightly higher. The week ago averages were $3.551 for regular unleaded, $3.989 for mid-grade, $4.393 for premium, and $3.890 for diesel.
When compared to a month ago, the current gas prices remain relatively stable. The average prices for regular unleaded, mid-grade, premium, and diesel were $3.477, $3.906, $4.340, and $3.979 per gallon, respectively, a month ago.
However, there is a significant difference when considering the gas prices from a year ago. The average prices in the Central Ohio Area were considerably higher, with regular unleaded, mid-grade, premium, and diesel averaging $4.859, $5.230, $5.559, and $6.092 per gallon, respectively.
It is worth noting that the Central Ohio Area has experienced some of its highest recorded average gas prices in the past year. On June 8, 2022, the average price for regular unleaded reached $5.073 per gallon, while diesel prices peaked at $6.146 per gallon on June 20, 2022.
When comparing the gas prices in the Central Ohio Area to the state of Ohio, it is evident that the average prices are slightly higher in Columbus. The current average gas prices in Ohio are $3.403, $3.858, $4.293, and $3.811 per gallon for regular unleaded, mid-grade, premium, and diesel, respectively.
On a national level, gas prices in the United States have also remained stable. The current average prices for regular unleaded, mid-grade, premium, diesel, and E85 fuels are $3.573, $3.994, $4.325, $3.876, and $2.943 per gallon, respectively.
