
The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced that Jacob Davidson was taken into custody on January 1st at 11:34 p.m. near Chapmanville, West Virginia. The arrest was made by West Virginia State Police.
Davidson had escaped from Twin Valley Behavioral Health Hospital in Columbus on December 29th and was considered armed and dangerous. The Ohio State Highway Patrol, along with multiple other law enforcement agencies, had been searching for Davidson since his escape.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol would like to thank the public for their assistance, as well as the United States Marshal Service, West Virginia State Police, Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Detective Bureau, Licking County Sheriff’s Office, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Columbus Division of Police for their assistance in the case.
Davidson will be transported to the Western Regional Jail in West Virginia and held until he can be extradited back to Ohio. No further details on the arrest have been released at this time.
