Delaware, Ohio is home to many small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs looking to turn their ideas into reality.
However, starting a business can be a daunting and overwhelming process, especially for those who are not sure where to begin. Fortunately, Delaware offers a variety of resources to help aspiring business owners navigate the process of starting and growing a successful enterprise.
The Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Columbus State is one of those resources.

The SBDC is hosting the Basis of a Successful Enterprise (B.A.S.E.) Business Startup Workshop on January 11, 2023 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
This online event will be facilitated by the Ohio SBDC at Columbus State Community College and is designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs in Delaware turn their business ideas into a reality.
At the B.A.S.E. workshop, attendees will learn about key topics such as how to find and connect with customers, the different legal business structures available, tax requirements, marketing and selling strategies, and how to write a business plan.
The workshop will also cover access to sources of financing and will be led by experienced Certified Business Advisors from the Ohio SBDC as well as attorneys, accountants, and bankers who are uniquely qualified to help entrepreneurs succeed.
The workshop will be led by Michael Bowers, a Certified Business Advisor and District Director of the Ohio SBDC at Columbus State Community College. Bowers has over 25 years of experience helping entrepreneurs and business owners build their companies, including 11 years with the SBDC network. He brings a diverse skillset to the workshop, with experience in banking, private equity, strategic planning, digital media, and marketing.
The B.A.S.E. workshop is offered at no cost to attendees and is open to small business owners throughout central Ohio.

The Ohio SBDC at Columbus State provides no-cost business advising and training to small business owners in the region, helping them with everything from operations and marketing to business certification and funding.
